1897
Andreas Nierholz opened his watchmaking workshop at Hauptstraße 68 in Elzach. At that time, parts of what is now the business were the living room, kitchen, and bedroom.

1916
Konstantin Nierholz became passionate about watchmaking at an early age and began his apprenticeship as a watchmaker at the age of 14, hoping to take over his parents' business himself one day.

1939
During the war, Maria Nierholz ran the family business.

1945
Konstantin Nierholz took over his father’s business after the end of the war.

1960
The shop and the house were remodeled.

1979
Hubert Nierholz completed his master's course and took over the business. His father, Konstantin Nierholz, continued to work in the watch workshop until the ripe old age of 92, and until the very end, he was able to manufacture spare parts that would have been difficult for many a watchmaker.

1980
The shop and the master workshop have once again been extensively modernized and remodeled.

2020
After completing his master's course and five years of professional experience in Germany and abroad, Johannes Nierholz returned to the Elztal valley and worked as a master watchmaker in his parents' workshop.

2021
Johannes Nierholz took over the traditional family business in the middle of the Corona period.

2024
Expansion of the shop and watchmaking workshop.
